Where is your company failing to take the “pain” out of change? Is your bottom-line affected because you are losing valuable employees when they can’t transition into new positions, new locations, and new company mergers? Are you, as an executive, not getting the help you need to lead your group?
It starts at the top and my passion is providing a skill-set for managers who are determined to use change to their advantage.
I was at lunch with some employees from an international construction firm when one man at the table asked what it was I did. I explained that I worked with people who were relocating to overseas positions to acclimate successfully.
He leaned forward and said, “I’m Chinese and they are sending me to Texas and I don’t speak Texan. I could really use your help.”
I sat back in my chair and realized that anyone who is undergoing change in their environment needs a skill-set to help them succeed, not just those moving to or from foreign countries.
I was speaking to a colleague about this, when they told me about a relative who had a lucrative job in New York City and her husband was transferred to Tennessee. When she went to apply for a job and they told her the salary, she laughed in their faces. This was a small town and word got around fast that the “uppity Northerner” was too good for them and she never did secure a job there. If her husband’s company had apprised her that her profession was paid at a different scale and what to expect, perhaps she wouldn’t have been barred from employment: a little extra preparation.
I am an international expert on change and how to successfully adapt in any environment. I have over 40 years’ experience and learned many of these skills when I lived in Saudi Arabia – a true “testing” ground.
Let’s end your frustration and fear today. Change is in the air. Call me.
