Before making a decision – in any area of your life – thoroughly Assess the Situation.
What does that mean? Look for the possible benefits in making that particular decision.
Planning and prospecting
When a disaster happens, anywhere in the world, an emergency response team arrives. Before any triage area is set up, before any actions are taken – that team needs to Assess the Situation.
They need to see what’s actually occurring before they take action.
Even the question of where to set up the triage area has to be considered. It needs to be somewhere out of harm’s way and easily accessible for transporting supplies. If all these factors weren’t taken into consideration, valuable time, expertise, and lives could be wasted.
Before your business or life becomes a disaster area, come up with a plan.
You should have a plan in place to evaluate which decisions support your goals and which decisions will allow you to adapt to change and find “the nugget of gold” in each situation. And sometimes you stumble upon it and sometimes you need to “prospect” to find your gold.
